I need some non-candy Easter basket ideas

easterbasket.jpgEaster won't be until April 25 this year but I'm determined not to do my usual dash to the drug store to stuff a basket full of junk. Help me, dear readers come up with some fun ways to fill a basket that won't send them into a sugar coma.

Learning Express educational toy stores are offering a "Bunny Buffet" where you pick out a bucket then select $25 worth of toys and games . At checkout, the Learning Express staff personalizes the bucket with the child's name on it. You can buy one online too, but here's where they have stores in the Tampa Bay area.

One of our Mommas here, Kate Brassfield, says her twins, both under 2,  like flowers and Target's dollar shelf has little "stuffed" long-stem flowers, made of fuzzy fabric that are pretty and fun to play with.

Our Suburban Diva Tracey Henry likes to do a themed basket. "I've got a budding young artist so she will get new crayons, markers and paper. For my older teen and tween boys they will probably get a baseball basket with a couple of new baseballs and dome packs of cards or a music basket with an iTunes card and some new earbuds."

For literary tots, one of those Beatrix Potter book collections with a stuffed benjamin bunny.

The Slinkees and chattering teeth and games are a good idea, but how about ideas for tweens as well?
