It's mid February -- do you know where your kids are going to summer camp?
It's been so cold that it's hard to believe it's already time to start worrying about where the kids will go to summer camp. I know, I know, it seems too early (we told you even earlier last year). And after a colleague just told me that her son is set for half of the summer (to which I told her that I hate her!), it really is time to give it some thought.
But we are doing a lot of the work for you. We are in the process of contacting camps to find out what they are offering. There is one thing I have discovered in doing checks thus far: It seems that many camps are charging a little more than they did last summer. That's not welcome news when you consider that the economy is still not bustling. And $10 here and $15 there begins to add up.
Consider this fair warning: Start getting your ducks in a row. We'll have a good current list ready for you by the end of this month. But if you want to start thinking about where your kids can go, here is the ginormous list we compiled last year that will give you some idea of where the camps are.
