Jon & Kate Plus Hate: He says she beat him down emotionally and he despises her
Jon Gosselin is ratcheting up the trash talk in what is now officially a bitter divorce from his Plus 8's mom Kate. In his interview with ABC News' Chris Cuomo set to air at 10 p.m. tonight, Gosselin says that, "I can't sit on the sofa with someone that I despise."
Despise? Ouch! So much for not saying anything bad about your ex for the childrens' sake.
"She's not speaking from the heart," he says. "Please, the stuff you tell me in private should be the stuff you tell me on TV," he says in the interview, indicating that Kate behaves badly off-screen while playing the wounded woman for the cameras on their reality show.
Cuomo warns Gosselin that he has to be careful about what he says about Kate since she says that her focus is on the kids. But Gosselin says you don't know the real Kate and that his relationship with her "will never be fixed" even though she still wears a wedding ring. Why isn't he flashing the gold? He claims she took it. "Who else would take it? I checked underneath my kids' pillows ... it wasn't there."
Lest you think Jon hasn't learned a little something from all the media hoopla, you are wrong. "I have no voice in the media and now I do," he tells Cuomo. "I just want to let the world know that I'm a real person with feelings."
Poor Jon. He does say that he has learned from his mistakes: "Yeah, okay, I made mistakes. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to go out to the clubs but we all learn from mistakes -- if mine are public."
Yes, maybe not. But he had his reasons."I was verbally abused," the 32-year-old says. "I was beaten down. She separated me from my family. She used to hold the kids over my head and say, 'Don't spend time with your mom, spend time with your kids.' Why can't I spend time with my mom and kids together?"
