Last-minute gift: Books that babies can sink their teeth into

Mom_indestructibleWhen my sons were babies, everything went into their mouths. And that included their books. All Mommas suffer the same problem. Well, some books came in the mail that seem to take care of the little bits of paper or chewed on board books that wind up in babies' mouths. Indestructibles are new books from Workman Publishing that are rip and chew proof, non-toxic and 100 percent washable. And of course, they were created by moms, Kaaren and Amy Pixton, a mother- and daughter-in-law team. Amy, who has triplets, came up with the idea while her mother-in-law Kaaren illustrated them. The books are printed on a high density non-woven material that is baby proof. The thin volumes feature farm animals in Wiggle! March!; bugs in Creep! Crawl!; and flying things in Flutter! Fly! There are no words so that won't get in the way while your babies use them for teething. Find them Barnes and Noble and on now for $4.95 each.
