Lowry Park Zoo, Florida Aquarium, MOSI pass holders get special 'Swaptember' deal
It’s musical chairs starting today for pass holders at Lowry Park Zoo, the Tampa Museum of Science and Industry and the Florida Aquarium. Throughout “Swaptember,” zoo pass holders (with valid ID) can receive free admission to the Florida Aquarium and MOSI. In turn, members of the Aquarium and MOSI receive free admission to the zoo.
At the zoo, they have a Fisher-Price Play Weekend coming up Sept. 18-19 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. featuring a giant play area filled with the coolest toys from Fisher-Price for children ages 5 and under. Kids can take a turn around the track on Power Wheels vehicles (battery powered ride-on toys) with special character appearances by Diego from Nick Jr.’s Go, Diego, Go! show on Saturday and other Fisher-Price friends on Sunday. The event is a wild time for the whole family! Play activities are free with Zoo admission.
At MOSI, the traveling exhibit CSI: The Experience, developed in collaboration with the hit CBS franchise, runs through Monday. Play the role of crime scene investigator and learn scientific principals and real investigative techniques to solve one of three crime scene mysteries. From DNA to latent prints to forensic anthropology and toxicology, there’s hands-on science in a multimedia environment with special effects direct from the TV series.
At the Florida Aquarium, there’s a daily Penguin Promenade and you can see stingrays being hand fed and ask the diver your shark questions while he’s in the tank with them. For those who are not members at the aquarium, there is a Florida resident deal now through Oct. 31. Adults can get in at the same price as children. Floridians pay $14.95 with proof of residency.
