Ludacris show was safe for young ears
Saturday's Ludacris concert after the Rays game likely had parents like myself a little on edge that we might have brought our kids to a far-too-adult scene. But Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges announced right off the bat that he was told to keep it clean and that he did. Kudos to the Rays for finding an entertainer who knows how to live with some limits and still be entertaining. Maybe he could release a Radio Disney version of Move, Young Lady, Get Out the Way...
If you want to post your own review of the show, check out the discussion with our friends on Sound Check, a blog for the local music scene.
While I feel like I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, I have to say these free concerts after the Rays games have so far been awful to hear. My husband and older son left halfway through the Three Doors Down concert because the sound system inside Tropicana Field is unbearable for a concert. We had the same reaction at the Ludacris show. It's nice that a World Series trip means we have a better concert lineup this year. It would be even nicer if we could actually hear them.
Here's a list of what's coming up in the Rays Concert series, including the kid-friendly Smash Mouth and B-52s.
