Make your New Year's plans now
It's not even Christmas yet, and the entertainment section is all about New Year's? It's actually a pretty good idea. Instead of waiting until the last minute, begging some relative to be your babysitter and paying too much for tickets to a party because you didn't buy your tickets in advance. Now is the time to think about what you want to do for New Year's Eve.
We've got this ginormous list of New Year's Eve parties, both family friendly and not, ranging from Noon Year's Eve at the zoo to where you can find fireworks.
But please, before you do any celebrating, look at this list of nine things you can do to avoid getting a DUI. It's a costly ticket at best, a tragedy at worst. And it really is quite easy to prevent with a little planning such as putting the number for Zingo, the fleet of designated drivers on scooters. They come to you, fold up the scooter and put it in the trunk, and drive you home. Or call AAA's free "Tow to Go" program, even if you aren't a AAA member.
Now go get some noisemakers.
