Whoa, Momma!

Malia and Sasha Obama are living dolls!

Mom_obamadollsTy, the company that brought you so many Beanie Babies that you are still wondering if you should have saved that money for your kids' college educations, has now introduced Ty Girlz dolls named Sasha and Malia. You know, the same as President Obama's daughters.

Now, Ty is denying that the dolls, Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha, are named for the girls even though everything sure does point that way. According to the Associated Press, the Oak Brook-based company chose the names because "they are beautiful names," not because of any resemblance to Malia and Sasha Obama, said spokeswoman Tania Lundeen.

You be the judge. Up to this point, it appears that there was only one African-American doll in that collection, Supercool Serena, which was probably NOT a nod to tennis champ Serena Williams? And I guess Hip Hannah is not named for every tweener's favorite secret rock star?

Oh well, Ty, wink-wink, we believe you.
