Meet mosaic artist Mari Gardner at Tampa's Mise En Place
Mari Gardner, the Baltimore-based artist who created the 80-foot Spiral Fantasia -- A Child's Dream mosaic at the new Glazer Children's Museum, will be the special guest at a benefit and celebration for the "Be A Voice" Mosaic Project. Gardner will be in Tampa at Mise En Place's Lafayette Room from 5:30-7 p.m.Tuesday.
Voices for Children of Tampa Bay Inc. is the non-profit partner of the Hillsborough County Guardian Ad Litem Program.The mosaic is dedicated to the thousands of volunteer guardians who have worked to provide support and safety to abused and neglected children throughout the bay area.
Gardner is currently completing the installation of the mosaic on the main entrance of the museum facing Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. For information, call (813) 275-9300.
