Mommas cracking under pressure of recession
You know things are bad when Moms start to feel the pressure. Usually we are the ones who try to hold it all together, but like Tori Amos said in her quote of the day, we can't always make everything better.
And a new poll shows that some of us are not doing well during these tough economic times. Indeed, a new survey shows that one in three Moms say that they have turned to overeating, drinking, drugs and/or gambling to deal with the stress.
MomLogic.com and Insight Research Group conducted the survey that also found that more than 60 percent feel negative emotions which results in arguments, crying and frustration. About 90 percent said that they have not bought something for themselves so that they could buy something nice for their kids.
Oh, and of course there is an intimacy component here: About 25 percent say the economic downturn has also caused a downturn in their sex lives.
