Mommas, Maytag recalls 1.6-million refrigerators!
Mommas, we know that if our refrigerator isn't right, it can throw off the whole household. Just last year I had to buy a new one when ours gave up the ghost. But at least it didn't catch fire. And that's why Maytag has just issued a recall of 1.6-million refrigerators maufactured in the United States and sold between January 2001 and January 2004. Apprently, the fridges can overheat and pose a fire hazard. So far, consumers have made 41 reports. Luckily, no injuries to this point.
Check here for information on the models, which were sold under such names as Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Admiral, Crosley, Magic Chef and Performa. Some are side-by-side models while others have the freezer on the top. And see what the Consumer Product Safety Commission has to say about the recall here.
