More kids jewelry recalled
It seems as though there is a new recall of a children's product every day. On Monday, about 19,000 "Best Friends" charm bracelets were recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The jewelry suffered from the same problems as an earlier kids' jewelry recall: The bracelets, sold at Claire's, had high levels of cadmium which can harm the kidneys and bones. CPSC officials say that the investigation is being expanded to try to keep the items out of stores. Back in January when a bracelet from Claire's was also the subject of a recall, store officials said they would discontinue its sale. It will be interesting to hear what the company has to say this time.
