Oprah wants you and your kids to stop texting and driving
Oprah is on a mission to get everyone to stop texting and driving. It's a good thing that she's trying to get this dangerous practice stopped. Last May, we told you that 68 percent of teens said that they texted while driving and didn't think there was a problem with it. Statistics show that car crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens. Maybe it is important for parents to stop the practice so that their kids will follow suit. Oprah will tackle the issue on her show at 4 p.m. today. But she also wants you to take Oprah's No Phone Zone Pledge which means that you can't use your phone at all while driving. At this moment, about 950 people have taken the pledge. It's a good idea since being distracted behind the wheel of a car is probably not a good idea for teens -- or adults.
