Peyton Manning: Sore loser after team falters in the Super Bowl

Mom_manningWe all know how hard it is to get our kids not to cry after they lose a game. Well, imagine that you are the regular-season MVP of the National Football League and your team was picked to win the Super Bowl. But when the Indianapolis Colts didn't win the big game, Peyton Manning reverted back to his little boy pout. He walked off the field and into his locker room without shaking hands with the winning team.

No one says you ever have to be happy about losing. But that doesn't mean you should be such a poor sport about it, either. While pundits around the sports world debate what Sunday's loss did to his legacy, I think Manning's post-game behavior says more.

When LeBron James did the same thing after losing to the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference finals, he was a poor sport about it, and now Manning joins that club.

Frankly, that's a league neither of these two great ballplayers should want to be in. And it makes it harder for us parents to teach our kids the right way to act.
