Actress Traci Lords had a long career in the porno biz and has since tried to move on starring in mainstream movies and on television. But she goes back to her roots -- sort of -- in the new comedy, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which Times film reviewer Steve Persall gives an A.

Lords, who is a mom of a 1 year old, talked with the Miami Herald about taking her then newborn to the set while filming and why she might need a pinch to make sure she isn't dreaming as she finds success (she is filming another movie) at 40. Her comments prove that through it all, we Mommas really do have a lot in common -- without the porno past!

On convincing director Kevin Smith that she could not do topless shots: "I told Kevin, I'm lactating. I REALLY can't go there."

On bringing her then 2-month old son Gunnar to the set:
"There was me, glittery Mommy, walking around pushing the carriage in stilettos. There was no sleep involved. I was a walking zombie and all barfed on; I had that Mommy mushy brain."

On the two perks of being a new mother: "My breasts were truly magnificent. I was like, 'Can I keep these?'"

On not believing all this can happen to a former under-age porn star: "It's so funny that now I'm a mom that all these doors are opening. I don't believe you can have it all — you'd be lucky to have little bits of everything."
