"Real Life Barbie" mom gives Botox to her 16-year-old daughter
There would only be one reason that a mother would do this to her child: She herself is addicted to the stuff. And of course, Sarah Burge is known as the "Real Life Barbie" because of all the cosmetic surgeries she has undergone.
In a story in the UK's Daily Mail, Burge's daughter Hannah says that she had "a couple of lines on her forehead and around her mouth" that she wanted to get rid of and that she "didn't want to look haggard and ugly" by the time she was 25.
I guess if your role model is a person who has had more than 150 cosmetic procedures then you probably would want it too. But since teens bodies and appearances are still developing, getting Botox at such a young age just seems silly probably to most everyone -- except mom. Sarah Burge said she was "thrilled" when her daughter asked for it. She added that she didn't want to be a "hypocrite" by telling her daughter not to have the procedure when she has done it many times.
"I know some parents will be horrified but this is my way of protecting my daughter from back-street rip-off merchants," Sarah Burge said. Hannah says she knows of girls who are doing the procedures behind their parents' backs.
She's right. Some parents are horrified that she would inject someting into her daughter's body that is completely unecessary at such an early age. Maybe someday Hannah will surpass her mom on the cosmetic surgery front, and be like Heidi Montag, who recently had 10 procedures in one day.
