Site aims to serve pop culture loving parents
Entertainment Weekly has launched a new Family Entertainment channel on its website "for pop culture loving parents" Maybe this will keep me ahead of the curve when the next Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, new episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, or the final Artemis Fowl book are getting big buzz in my house.
It's a little heavy on celebrity parents for my taste (like I really need to hear from famous parents like Jessica Alba and The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik) but I like the Girl Gone Child blogger Rebecca Woolf, and I have to admit I'm a sucker for lists like “Best & Worst Disney Movies,” or“25 Best TV Toons.” Fior something a little meatier, this piece by novelist Jennifer Weiner caught my attention where she epxplains what her daughters have learned from the very un-feminist Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises.
Maybe this can help me finally appear to be the cool mom who knows all about the cool books and video games.
