Slime time! Nick Hotel ups the ante

nickhotel.jpgThe Summer of Slime is here

The Nickelodeon Suites Resort is Orlando is declaring this the Summer of Slime. While the Nick Hotel, the only one of its kind, has always been a place where you can get doused by a giant bucket of green slime at one of its many over-the-top pool complexes. Starting this week, the hotel’s Slime Squad is taking it to the next level. Expect random acts of sliming.

It was my own experience at one of the hotel's mass slimings, left, that prompted me to write the post, 5 Ways to Avoid Losing Your Kid at a Theme Park. I was caught off guard once when I forgot to talk about staying together ahead of time. We arrived at the Nick Hotel just as it was "slime time" at the pool and my 9 year old raced into the crowd before we had a chance to establish some ground rules. It took a long time to find him again among the huge crowd of kids at the water slide. Lesson learned: Before you even leave the car, talk about how you will all stay together and pick a landmark to meet if you get separated.

But back to the slime.

Through Sept. 5, guests can be slimed at anytime, anywhere on property. There also will be messy games like slime tug of war and physical challenges, confetti slime and slime tastings. They promise bigger, better-than-ever “Mass Sliming” poolside and many other random acts of sliming.
