Sweethearts latest candy invitation -- "Tweet Me"

Sweethearts, the 145-year-old Valentine candy from Necco that can sometimes be more eloquent than Mom_candyhearts Casanova, unveiled this year’s newest mini-love sentiment for its candy: "Tweet Me."

According to USA Today, “Tweet Me” was derived from an online consumer survey, referring to Twitter -- the Web site which allows people to update their status in 140 characters or less. (In fact, you can follow my tweets and those of the whole Whoa, Momma! gang). Apparently, the candy maker found Twitter to be considerably less commercial (and less offensive) than “Bite Me” as suggested by some Twilight fans. "Tweet Me" also far out-distanced "Text Me", which was second, and "Love Bug", a reference to a Jonas Brothers song, not Herbie the VW.

I guess my totally hawt suggestions of “I’ll Vacuum” or “Sitter Tonight” went unheeded yet again this year.
