Tony Dungy tops bestseller list -- again
Coach Tony Dungy's foray into children's books, "You Can Do It" debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list for children's books. I wonder if last Friday's book signing in Tampa had anything to do with this. Dungy's first book, a memoir called "Quiet Stength," also topped the best-seller list in 2007, the first NFL-related book to do so. Oh yeah, and he won Super Bowl that year, too. So you can definitely say the guy is on a roll. You can read our interview with Dungy about the children's book here and our review of the book here.
Even though the Indianapolis Colts coach hasn't worked for the Bucs since 2002, Tampa Bay still lays claim to Tony Dungy, especially since his family moved back to Tampa last year. His son Eric is a star player on Plant High School's football team and Dungy has ties to several faith-based organizations, such as Family First and Abe Brown Ministries.
