Training for kids and K9s
If you want your kid and your pet to have a better connection, then you might want to give the SPCA Tampa Bay a call today to register for the Kids n K9s class that starts Saturday -- that's tomorrow! -- at 9099 130th Ave. N in Largo.
Donna Bainter, the SPCA's behavior manager, said the five-week course will present ways for kids to have better relationships with their four-legged friends and to have better control over them. The class, which costs $50, targets 10-14 year olds who should bring their pets along for the training, which will feature games and different learning activities. Pets should be friendly and not aggressive, she said. The one-hour class begins at 9 a.m.
Call (727)586-3591today (someone will be in the office until 6 p.m.) for your kid's spot. There also will be a 7 p.m. Thursday course beginning April 16.
