Try Tampa Bay-area YMCAs for free for a week beginning Saturday
With all the talk about childhood obesity and getting the whole family into shape, this is a deal that should really help you get your family moving. From Saturday through Sept. 27, Tampa Bay area YMCAs are celebrating America on the Move Week with a community open house.
America on the Move is a nationwide YMCA initiative designed to encourage families to take small steps toward a healthier way of life. YMCAs in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Citrus, and Hernando counties will open their doors to everyone in the community t o come in get a workout, take a swim, try a class, or just enjoy time with family. Specific YMCA locations will also be hosting special family exercise classes and events during this week. You can check out the schedule of the week’s activities and YMCA locations at the YMCA Web site. Once you find your location, you can print out a pass for three free visits to the Y. That seems pretty easy.
All guests must bring a valid photo ID when coming to visit a YMCA, and children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
