Turning toys into Frankenstein
I just love this Frankenpets session that the Palm Harbor Library is hosting on July 23 at 3 p.m. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to create Frankenpets, unique creations that involve transferring body parts from one stuffed animal to another. Shown here is Cameron Schmoke holding two frankenpets. The one on the right side of the photo is made from a lion and a bear. She calls it, "Li-bear-ian." Isn't that darling?
If you can't make it to the library, you could do this yourself. Round up some crafty moms and you can have a fun way to teach your kids how to sew.
The Palm Harbor Library is at 2330 Nebraska Ave., Palm Harbor. To register, call (727) 784-3332, ext. 3018
