Two video contests for kids
Have a creative kid who is always looking down the viewfinder of a camcorder? Here are two contests to put that budding talent to good use while competing for prizes.
To encourage kids to become active in charities, Energizer is sponsoring a video contest that asks kids to submit a short video depicting what happens when their favorite toy runs out of batteries. The more “likes” a video receives, the more money will be donated to the author’s chosen charity. The first 250 entrants in the “Kids Take Charge” campaign will receive the new Energizer Recharge Smart Charger. You can get all of the details from their website.
And keep those cameras safely rolling for this next contest from Walt Disney Studios. In honor of the DVD release of Alice in Wonderland on June 1st. Contestants are asked to submit 40 second videos with their rendition of the “Futterwacken”--the dance performed by the Mad Hatter in the film. Details are listed on their website, and you have until June 3, 2010 to enter.
