UPDATE: Company changes Caylee doll -- a little

The public outcry over the sale of a doll that was said to be inspired by Caylee Mom_cayleedoll_2  Anthony drove the company to suspend sales earlier this week. But now the doll is back with a new name -- but still connected to Caylee.

Showbiz Promotions has repackaged the dolls with new names -- Hope Sunshine, Gracie Sunshine and Sally Sunshine. It's the same doll as the one that was introduced earlier this week but Caylee's name has been removed from the shirt. And you still have to click on to get to the dolls and other "Caylee Sunshine" merchandise. Showbiz Promotions says that 100 percent of the profits from sales of the dolls will go to charity but no charity has been established.

Mom_sunshinedollA couple things have not changed: The Web site says that the dolls are "meant to remind you that Little Caylee is safe in Heaven, embraced in loving arms forever." And the dolls still sing You Are My Sunshine, a song that Caylee was shown singing in a family video when the search was on for the murdered girl.

Ugh. This just makes you sick. I understand that Showbiz Promotions has a bunch of dolls that they have to sell. That's fine -- sell 'em. Just take Caylee out of the equation. The poor little girl and her memory have been exploited enough.
