Update: Kota the dinosaur for $99.99 at Target!

Mom_kota Got an e-mail this morning about Kota the Triceratops, the interactive dinosaur that is probably on many wish lists this season but at $300, may not fit the budgets of many households. The robotic dinosaur that "eats" leaves, snores and burps now costs $99.99 at Target stores and online at Yes, that is just a third of his original list price from Playskool.

At $100, it feels a little more in reach for some parents who don't want to disappoint their kids this holiday season but are realistic about the awful economic climate. Clearly, now is not the time to go into debt -- or more debt -- with the economy still not on firm ground. But maybe this deal -- along with other 50 percent off toys at the store -- is just what Santa ordered.
