NSFW: Why the academy won't give Mickey Rourke an Oscar

Rourke
In case you missed Mickey Rourke's hilariously profane acceptance speech at yesterday's Film Independent Spirit Awards show, here it is, in all of its unedited glory thanks to YouTube.

Definitely not safe for work, or anywhere else in public except the Spirit awards show, which you'll likely see rerun on IFC channel.

Rourke's raucous remarks are exactly what some of the academy's uptight members had in mind when they didn't mark Rourke's name on their ballots. The guy manning the seven-second delay button for ABC wouldn't be able to keep up.

Enjoy, but send the kiddies out of the room.
