Weeds

The never ending cycle

Ms. Weller says that for the past few weeks, she and the students have been pulling weeds around their garden boxes in preparation to mulch and prepare the area for the fall planting.

"Weeds are such stubborn things," Ms. Weller says. "They grow around the edge of our boxes and try to invade our garden space.  When weeds get in the boxes, they use up the nutrients needed to grow the plants.  They take up space that could be used to grow bigger roots, which make for more productive plants."

Bad Habits are like weeds. They invade our space, using up time, energy and creating a mess that has to be cleaned up.  Can you think of a bad habit that is making you less productive? What can you do to change this habit. Share your thoughts here on the NIE Blogging Zone.
