In the know. In the Times.
You’ll hear it a thousand times throughout your life, from your parents, from your driver’s ed teacher, from your friends: “Watch out for that other driver!” Getting behind the wheel in Florida got a little safer in 2009, according to statistics provided by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Check out the stats and graphics on page 1B of today’s Times. Did you know that riding in the back of a pick-up truck contributed to more than half of the number of teens who died in car crashes last year? Another interesting statistic, males make up more than three quarters of the fatalities overall. After looking at the information posted in the article, are you a safe driver? What about your friends, do they display defensive driving skills? Share your comments with us!
