In the know. In the Times.
It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it. The job - being Mayor of St Petersburg. The duties - making daily decisions about issues that affect city residents, in a way that satisfies the voters and balances the budget. Mayor Bill Foster is in the headlines twice today, once for announcing his plan to provide a homeless shelter with enough beds to accommodate the homeless population of the city currently sleeping on the streets, and once for discussing the option of allowing the Tampa Bay Rays owner Stuart Sternberg to propose new baseball stadium sites outside of city limits. You can read both articles on the front page of today’s St. Petersburg Times. If you were Mayor, what issues would you address with the public? Do you think there are other things the Mayor needs to be thinking about? Share your ideas here on our blog!
