Times Newspaper in Education

In the know. In the Times.

If you are going to be in elementary or middle school in Pinellas County this fall, get ready to reset your alarm clock!  The school board made some changes to the times when classes will start: middle school will start 10 minutes earlier, while elementary school will start 10 minutes later.  According to the Superintendent, this will eliminate 50 bus routes and therefore save several million dollars.  If you are in high school this fall, don’t get your hopes up for sleeping in.  You still have to be there at 7:05 am for the first bell.  To see the new bell schedules, visit and scroll through the list to find your school. We want to read your thoughts about this subject. You can share them here on the NIE Blogging Zone.
