The science of drinking water

Anyone who has a dog knows that they make a mess when they drink water out of a bowl, and anyone who has a cat knows that they are neat and tidy and don’t leave a puddle of water all over the floor.  Why is that?  Now we know.  The secret behind how a cat gets water into its mouth has been unlocked by an engineer at MIT.  Read all about it on page 1B of today’s Times and be sure to check out the slow motion photos!  Tell us what you think, were you surprised at the results of the research project?  Did you learn something new about cats and dogs?  Leave your comment below!
