Test fraud leads to prison term

22

September

How many small plastic products do you use every day?  How many gadgets and gizmos are lying around your house on counters and coffee tables: Dozens, hundreds perhaps?  You use these products every day and trust that they will work the way they are intended to work, and that you will not get hurt while using them.  Or will you?  Read "Test fraud leads to prison term” on page 3B of today’s Times. Read the story of how consumer safety research reports were falsified to say a product was safe for use by children, in exchange for bribe money, and someone is going to jail for it.  Read the article and think about all the widgets you use in a day.  Does this make you think twice perhaps about how safe things are and how much you trust things you buy in a store to work properly?  We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
