In the know. In the Times.
A seven foot long alligator from the Hillsborough River decided to go to school yesterday. Somehow, it managed to get under a chain link fence, across a parking lot and into the hallways of Stewart Middle Magnet School in Tampa before classes started in the morning. A Fish and Wildlife officer was called to the school to trap the alligator, which was taken off campus and euthanized, which is standard procedure for large alligators that have no fear of people.
