Rays leaving Aki home

Rays manager Joe Maddon said before today's game that injured 3B Akinori Iwamura (bruised left eye) won't make the trip in Toronto and will instead likely join the team this weekend when the Rays head to South Florida to play the Marlins.

Meanwhile, today's 3:10 start will feature the best pitching matchup of the series with RHP James Shields going for the Rays and the Royals countering with RHP Gil Meche.

Here's the Rays lineup:
Dukes, CF
Upton, 2B
Crawford, LF
Norton, DH
Pena, 1B
Wigginton, 3B
Young, RF
Navarro, C
Harris, SS
