Bartlett scratched; Longoria to short

SS Jason Bartlett has just been scratched from the starting lineup, and apparently it has nothing to do with the expected birth of his first child.

The Rays say Bartlett has a bruised left foot, which was suffered during batting practice.

Bartlett will be replaced at short by Evan Longoria, who played about 20 games at short in college. Willy  Aybar is moving to third, where he began the season as opening day starter. Eric Hinske will move to first, and Gabe Gross will bat ninth and be in rightfield.

Stay tuned for more details on Bartlett's injury, as we get it.
