Brawl suspensions fallout?
Nothing official yet but word in Rays clubhouse is that Jonny Gomes will be suspended five games and Carl Crawford four games. No word on James Shiels or others. And there are reports out of Boston that Coco Crisp got seven games, Jon Lester five games and Sean Casey three games. - - - - The Rays are assembling here in Arlington, Texas, for tonight's game, undoubtedly glad to be out of Boston.
But they may not be out of the spotlight, as there is talk that MLB is likely to have an announcement later today on discipline from Thursday's festivities.
At the least, it seems RHP James Shields and DH/OF Jonny Gomes will get suspended, and possibly LF Carl Crawford.
Among media voices, ESPN's Buster Olney was loud, suggesting Gomes deserves a lenghty suspension, like 8-10 games.
