Zobrist optioned to Durham
The Rays optioned INF Ben Zobrist to Triple-A Durham after Wednesday's game to make room for the return of SS Jason Bartlett from the DL. Bartlett is expected to be in the lineup on Thursday in Kansas City.
Zobrist knocked in two runs Wednesday with a solo homer in the fifth that put the Rays ahead and then a single that scored the decisive run in the seventh.
