Words of McCain, Obama help open World Series
Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama recorded inspirational quotes from American icons, including Martin Luther King Jr. and former Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy, as part of Fox Sports' World Series coverage.
The quotes, about baseball as a beacon of hope through some of America’s most difficult times, will be woven into the opening segment of each broadcast, according to a news release from Major League Baseball.
Academy Award-winning actor Michael Douglas narrates the opening for the first game at 8 tonight.
