Rays popping up everywhere on Web
A quick cruise around the Interwebs this afternoon reveals some quirky Rays-related items.
First we have the story of the 12-year-old Ellenton kid who got suspended for his mohawk being featured over on the Yahoo front page. (Man, that kid's going to really tick off that school principal.)
And if you jump over the to the Yahoo Sports page, you'll find the wonkiest enterprise piece on the whole 9=8 phenomenon that's ever been written. Warning: It involves a LOT of math talk.
Over on the Boston Globe's site, they've got a really cool virtual Ray-ality feature. The site ran a simulation using 2K Sport's MLB 2K8 on the xBox 360 console to see how a virtual series might play out. This link features the Rays rallying from an early deficit behind a three-run seventh inning outburst to emerge with a 3-1 triumph over the Boston Red Sox.
Want something a little more practical? MSBNC takes a look at how smart money managers would love the Rays and their spending habits.
And if you just want to get a head of steam going, listen to this montage of Rays-Sox moments compiled by Boston radio station WEEI.
