Percival surgery "went well"

Closer Troy Percival's back surgery on Tuesday "went well,'' the Rays said.

Percival, who led the team with 28 saves but was sidelined by injuries several times, is expected to need three months for recovery and rehab. If all goes well, Percival, 39, is expected to be back on the mound by early March, giving him about a month to prepare for the season.
