Rays name minor-league staffs

The Rays named most of their 2009 minor-league coaching staff today, with just a few names and new assignments. Among them, Jared Sandberg and Brady Williams will be managers for the first time, Dave Myers replaces Gary Gaetti as Triple-A hitting coach and Ozzie Timmons gets promoted to Double-A hitting coach. The Hudson Valley and Class A Bowling Green staffs were not named, though Williams will manage at Hudson Valley.

The staffs look like this:

Triple-A Durham
Charlie Montoyo, manager
Xavier Hernandez and Dave Myers, coaches

Double-A Montgomery
Billy Gardner Jr., manager
Neil Allen and Ozzie Timmons, coaches

Class A Charlotte
Jim Morrison, manager
Bill Moloney and Joe Szekely, coaches

Rookie-level Princeton Rays
Jared Sandberg, manager
Rafael Deleon, Dan DeMent, Marty DeMerritt, coaches

GCL Rays
Joe Alvarez, manager
Ben Ogilvie and Darwin Peguero, coaches

Roving instructors
Skeeter Barnes, outfield/baserunning
Dick Bosman, pitching
Jim Hoff, field coordinator
Steve Livesey, hitting
Jamie Nelson, catching
