Rays to mark completion of Azalea Little League renovation

Rays president Matt Silverman, radio broadcaster Andy Freed and Azalea Little League officials will hold a dedication ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday to mark completion of the three-month renovation of the St. Petersburg league fields.

The makeover included replacing sod, adding 20 tons of clay and two tons of conditioner, replacing fences and adding a wind screen, repairing the electrical system and fertilizing the turf.

The ceremony starts at 2 p.m. at the fields, 2900 75th St. North.
