A few minor matters ...

The Rays are announcing the signings of a few more players to minor-league contracts with invites to major-league camp.
We've already mentioned C Michel Hernandez, INF Ray Olmedo and OFs Ray Sadler and Jon Weber; the new names are LHP Randy Choate, a 33-year-old reliever (and Tampa resident) who spent least season with the Brewers AAA team but has pitched for the Yankees and D'backs for parts of eight seasons, and RHP Julio DePaula, who spent seven years in the Twins organization with some brief time in the majors.
