Burrell to DL, Isringhausen up

The Rays put DH Pat Burrell on the 15-day DL with a neck strain and called up RHP Jason Isringhausen.

The Burrell move is retroactive to May 11, so he will be eligible for reinstatement on May 26, when the Rays play the second of a four-game series in Cleveland. Burrell's absence includes the three interleague games at Florida next weekend when he would have been limited to pinch-hit duty anyway.

Isringhausen has been rehabbing at Triple-A Durham, and his assignment was set to expire Tuesday. The veteran reliever will add some depth to a heavily used bullpen.
