Longoria leaves game due to slight soreness in left hamstring

Update 9:33 p.m. The Rays are saying that Evan Longoria left Wednesday's game in the eighth inning as a precautionary measure after he felt slight soreness in his left hamstring.

Longoria had missed six starts earlier this month due to tightness in the hamstring.

Rays third baseman Evan Longoria has left Wednesday's game, and was replaced by Willy Aybar to start the top of the eighth inning.

Longoria was 2-for-3 at the plate. The last play he was in on was fielding a Pedro Feliz grounder to third in the seventh, and throwing out Matt Stairs at second for the fielder's choice to end the inning.

More the details as they come.
