For starters, Rays-Jays
UPDATE, 5:58: Not much news in manager Joe Maddon's pre-game, though he did say LHP Brian Shouse (out since May 25 with a left elbow strain) will throw a simulated game on Friday, and then probably another the next week as prep to going on a rehab assigment.
Maddon said he expected Pat Burrell to take the good feeling he got from Tuesday's game-ending homer and carry it over into a hot streak.
One interesting stat from the Elias Sports Bureau: Tuesday night was the 62nd time in the last two seasons the 1-2-3-4 hitters in the Rays lineup were B.J. Upton, Carl Crawford, Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena, and the first time none of the four had a hit.
NEWS: The Rays are looking to make it two wins in a row against the Jays.
The lineup:
Upton cf
Crawford lf
Longoria 3b
Pena 1b
Zobrist 2b
Burrell dh
Bartlett ss
Kapler rf
Navarro c
Kazmir p
And for the Jays:
Scutaro, ss
Hill, 2b
Lind, dh
Rolen, 3b
Wells, cf
Millar, 1b
Rios, rf
Bautista, lf
Chavez, c
Tallet, p
