Question answered: Kazmir will start Thursday

After Tuesday's game, there no longer seemed to be any question about Scott Kazmir’s status for Thursday’s start.

"I talked to him and he felt really good so I’m expecting him to pitch, I fully am,’’ manager Joe Maddon said. “I think it’s a go.’’

Kazmir confirmed that was the case as well: “It’s a go — 100 percent.’’

The Rays had been wavering slightly the past few days, as they wanted to make sure  the residual soreness from the cramps that forced him out of Saturday’s game were gone.
