Rays 11, Tigers 7

Tampa Bay scores six in the first before recording an out, capped by Carlos Pena's AL-high 38th home run, and James Shields weathers 10 hits and two Carlos Guillen homers to last seven innings and pick up his second straight win for the first time since June. Pena drives in four runs, and he and Jason Bartlett both come up a triple short of the cycle for the Rays, who split the four-game series in Detroit and finish their road trip 4-3.
