Rays OF prospect Desmond Jennings named Southern League MVP

OF Desmond Jennings was named MVP of the Double-A Southern League on Monday.

Jennings, 22, led the league with 122 hits, 8 triples and 37 stolen bases when he was promoted to Triple-A. He hit .316 in 100 games for the Biscits and had a .395 on-base percentage, .486 slugging percentage and .881 OPS.
